Why does this matter?

Knowing exactly how much filament you have left is the difference between a successful 20-hour print and running out of plastic at 95%.

Slicers often give you estimates in grams (weight) or meters (length). However, what you can measure physically is often the opposite of what the slicer tells you:

  • The Slicer says: "This print needs 14 meters of filament."
  • You have: A partial spool that weighs 250g (minus the empty spool weight).
This calculator bridges that gap using the material's density.
